Content coordinator

Orson’s Publishing seeks a self-motivated and self-disciplined coordinator of digital content, including: social media posts, blog posts, and emails. The ideal candidate has previous experience creating and coordinator consumer-facing content is required, as well as a literary itch that can only be quelled by sharing it with the world.

As Orson’s Publishing is still emerging from its infancy, the ideal candidate will be committed to growing with the brand—they must view the unknowns ahead not as intimidating, but, rather, as enticing, as opportunities to learn.

While the ideal candidate will have every chance to expand their role within Orson’s Publishing, tasks out of the gate will require 5-10 hours of work per month, and will primarily include:

Social Media Posts

• Orson’s Publishing
  • Facebook
    • 2-3 posts per week
    • The ideal candidate must be comfortable with varying tones
  • Twitter
    • 5-7 tweets per week
    • The ideal candidate must be comfortable with varying tones
  • Etc.
    • If there's a social media platform Orson's Publishing should be posting to, the ideal candidate won't only let us know, they'll let us know why a presence on that platform is crucial, as well as how best to go about establishing that presence. 

• Orson’s Review
  • Facebook
    • 2-3 posts per week

Blog Posts

• Orson’s Publishing blog
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing 1-2 blog posts per month, the lengths and topics of which will vary. They will also be comfortable conducting research and sourcing material to include within their blog posts. Examples of blog posts can be found below:

Email

• Orson’s Publishing Newsletter
  • The ideal candidate will try their hand at either maintaining or creating campaigns within Mailchimp, and ensuring emails are delivered on time.
  • The ideal candidate knows what segmenting means, and, as email lists grow, will be able to identify emerging segments.

At this time, Orson’s Publishing cannot provide financial compensation for the Content Coordinator. As Orson’s Publishing works towards being able to do so, what this position does offer is:
